We have another great trip planned for September 12th – 14th and all members are invited! Ottawa/Gatineau is a particularly unique biking area which is why HRER has organized a few trips to our capital over the years. This area has put incredible resources into their bike paths that weave around cities and suburbs and into surrounding rural land.
We have a number of different rides planned and there’s a route for everyone. The routes along the Ottawa River and the Rideau Canal are flat and scenic. If you’d prefer a more challenging route, you can cycle up to the Champlain Lookout in Gatineau Park
The hotel, Best Western Plus Gatineau, is ideally situated along the Ottawa River and within 1 km of downtown Ottawa. All rides will depart directly from our hotel. We will be within walking distance to restaurants, the Parliament Buildings, the famous Byward Market and multiple museums. We have a great group dinner planned for our second night, so we can enjoy a meal together after a day of riding.
